Meeting the Galaxy, Meeting You

[Alternate Era, Parallel World, Please Don't Nitpick]

[Resilient Yet Insecure Female Student vs. 'Dad-Type' Police Officer Male Lead]

Ai Zhuying has a gambling-addicted, drunken father and a mother who ran off with someone else.

She thinks she must have committed some terrible sin in her past life to end up with parents like these.

She has prayed countless times that one day she might get a different pair of parents.

Then she met Su Fang.

Ai Zhuying and Su Fang's first meeting made them comrades in life and death.

Amid what people called a bloody romance, Ai Zhuying became Su Fang's savior.

Su Fang isn't good at sweet talk. He's a quiet, reserved man.

Back then, she seemed calm and obedient, but inside she was anything but. She was filled with timidity and viciousness, and the whole world seemed gray to her.

Yet that very reserved Su Fang taught her, little by little, that the world was beautiful.

He also paid for her education and dance lessons, making her a prodigy in everyone's eyes.

She loves dancing. The rush of turning and spinning makes her feel free, and her mother left her with a natural gift for dance.

She also hates dancing, because her mother abandoned her and left her alone to endure years of beatings.

But Su Fang says she dances beautifully.

She loves Su Fang.

The name Su Fang means something red.

The name Zhuying also means something red.

She thinks this must be fate.

Su Fang, Ai Zhuying.

Su Fang loves Zhuying.

But one day, Su Fang disappeared.

PS: The setting is an alternate version of the 1980s and 1990s, when cell phones hadn't become popular yet.
