The Librarian Is Still Weakening

Hagino Ryuuko had always thought that one day he would be surrounded and killed by corrupted swords. Sure enough, it happened just as he had expected.

But the death he had anticipated never came. When he opened his eyes, he was in another world.

There, Ogino met famous literary giants: Dazai Osamu, Akutagawa Ryunosuke, Mori Ogai, Shiga Naoya, Nakano Shigeharu...

A strange library cat leaped in front of him and let out a long "nyaaa" before asking, "Young man, would you like to become the next librarian?"

Hagino Ryuuko clutched his haori in shock. Hey, he'd just escaped a corrupted citadel of swords under the Time Government. Now an Imperial Library too? What kind of plot twist was this?

Just let me stay in the repair room!

Ogino wailed silently. The current librarian, who was planning to retire, smiled and took his hand, insisting on introducing him to the writers already working at the library.

Ogino: I get it, but I don't want to work another part-time job, okay?

Hagino Ryuuko, exhausted!

But resistance was futile. Forced to shoulder the task of preventing literature from disappearing, Ogino wearily covered his face. Why had he fought the Time Retrograde Army for the Time Government, only to end up fighting the Eroders here too?!

And next door, at least the sword-wielding spirits did the fighting. Why did the writers here have to take up arms?!

This made no sense!

Worried that something might happen, Ogino accidentally ended up inside a forbidden book, where he faced five teachers who had dived into the book. The teachers tacitly agreed to protect the new librarian while they fought, but the teachers, who had worried about the badly injured young man's condition, were left dumbfounded by what happened next.

Why could this young man, always pale as a ghost and looking as if he might break at a touch, swing a sword so easily and hack down the Eroders???

Ogino: I'd better not mention how the corrupted citadel was short on spiritual energy, so I had to fight on the front lines myself...

Who would have thought that he would later accidentally fall into the world of Bungo Stray Dogs? Ogino Ryuuko looked at Akutagawa Ryunosuke beside him, who was calling out, "Mr. Dazai," and fell silent. If Little Cherry heard that, he'd be so happy he'd fall over, wouldn't he? Absolutely.

He turned and went straight into a bookstore, but apart from a few books by Teacher Natsume, he couldn't find anything else.

The contents were also completely different.

Ogino: I misjudged the library. This is where the literary giants really abandoned their pens and took up arms.

When he reunited with the teachers traveling with him, he mentioned what had happened. Professor Akutagawa patted him on the shoulder, while Dazai Osamu shouted in despair at the bookstore, "A world without Professor Akutagawa's works is hell!"

Ogino Ryuuko looked at the police officers nearby, who had become wary at the word "Akutagawa."

"...Um, shouldn't we get out of here first?"

The next world was even more fantastical. The Ozaki family had become women, Dazai Osamu was Nakajima Atsushi's senior, and Akutagawa was Dazai Osamu's junior...

Ogino Ryuuko was shocked. Ogino Ryuuko sighed. Then he spotted Little Cherry, who looked like he was about to become the subject of the famous painting The Scream.

"! Teacher Dazai, are you all right!?"

"Oh my..."

This is a story with elements of Touken Ranbu and Bungo Stray Dogs, mainly set in the world of Bungou to Alchemist. I'd love to hear your comments and support! The young librarian sighed at the sky.

Dazai Osamu, who couldn't understand Chinese: ?

A librarian employed at a library, 24 years old and in the prime of his life. He loves reading works by famous authors and is also passionate about cosplay.

But the library has far too much work, so here's what happens:

In front of the camera, the librarian is so handsome he perfectly captures the essence of every character.

Behind the camera, he works himself to the bone. In the cafeteria, he transforms into a master at hand-rolling rice balls.

By day, he acts like a well-behaved librarian and chats with all the teachers.

At night, he sends his assistant away and works in the librarian's office on making one-to-one replicas of the writers' costumes...

It's exhausting, but also fulfilling, isn't it? Working so hard for the writers every day is no big deal~

That's what the young librarian wrote in his diary.

Then the next day, he woke up in an unfamiliar world, still wearing his cosplay outfit of Teacher Izumi Kyoka.

Librarian: No need to panic. It's no big deal.

The next second, a building collapsed.

Librarian: ?

Though life was a little dangerous, literature could still enrich the world. Smiling, the librarian walked into a bookstore, only to find it looked like a war zone, devastated from end to end.

Librarian: ?

So what if the writers had abandoned their pens and taken up arms? No need to panic. I'll show off my skills and recite the teachers' works from memory

A few days later, he was kidnapped and tied up at a brothel. The boss leading the group toyed with a small knife, tracing it over his face.

Enough was enough.

This unlucky, chaotic world full of troublemakers had to be messing with him, right?! Did they really think he was a helpless little bunny who couldn't take care of himself?!!

The librarian snapped and fought back, casually taking down the last thug. He wiped away blood from who-knows-where, turned around stylishly, and was about to leave when he bumped into a bandage-wrapped kid.

The kid not only tried to trick him, but also said his name was Dazai Osamu.

Before he could even react, his consciousness was pulled into a blank space. A white-covered "Book" slowly unfolded, and the words on it read: I am the Book.

Librarian: At least I can say I wasn't seeing things.

The "Book" explained the whole world to him. After understanding everything, the librarian said, "Well, Japan really does have one disaster after another."
