Gojo-sensei: (squints) Why did these sunglasses just move?

Uesugi: (breaking into a cold sweat)

After the reveal

Gojo-sensei: Hey, hey, hey! Come out, Sunglassesmon! I choose you! Use Thunderbolt! (throws them forward)

Uesugi: (shouting) Don't come any closer!!

Uesugi Kageaki used to be an ordinary person. After arriving in the world of the manga, he stays far away from the characters, terrified of getting involved and dying.

To avoid the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, he urgently flees overseas, but an accident happens anyway, and he becomes Gojo-sensei's sunglasses.

The System tells him that to come back to life and escape from the sunglasses, he must earn just enough positive affection using his sunglasses secret identity, and just enough negative affection using his original identity.

Uesugi: ? Have you lost your mind? How am I supposed to earn affection as a pair of sunglasses? You're making things impossible for me. If you want free labor, just say so.

...No matter how absurd the conditions are, he has no choice but to work for now if he wants to stay alive.

But then...

As sunglasses, he's forced to join Gojo Cat in busking on the street, facing the pitying stares of passersby as a mournful erhu plays.

Gojo Cat forces a "new skin" on him, turning his black frames pink and printing Peppa Pig on them. He has to endure the strange looks from passersby, completely humiliated.

He rides a coin-operated rocking horse with Gojo Cat and gets his brain fried by the earworm "Daddy's daddy is Grandpa."

Uesugi: (exhausted) Just destroy the world. I'm done.

P.S.

The author's personal interpretations are everywhere, and there are tons of plot holes. The characters are out of character.

The plot is mostly everyday life. The sunglasses get a romance plot, while the original self gets the main storyline.

The protagonist is timid and loves to complain, and occasionally goes a little crazy and out of line.

Pairing is with Gojo-sensei. Gojo and Geto have a friendship plot, and Geto will come back to life.

I'll save as many people as I can, but the rescue plot doesn't start until much later. The protagonist has a rough time early and in the middle, and needs to save himself first.

One day, Amamiya Kei watches a video based on a misunderstanding. The villain is a handsome, white-haired man who loves to shout "I alone am the honored one," while the protagonist is grotesquely ugly and full of grand ambitions. Amamiya wonders if the author has unusually bad taste.

But as a good young socialist, even if the world-destroying villain is handsome, he still has to condemn him!

Amamiya Kei has barely finished saying those bold words. He's only watched a compilation video when, the very next moment, he transmigrates.

He even resurrects the cursed spirit user, a cannon-fodder character, and joins him to discuss plans to take down the villain...

But the enemy is simply too powerful. Amamiya still fails in the end, and even the protagonist dies...

Looking at the System panel showing that the mission succeeded, Amamiya Kei thinks there's a bug. The villain is still alive and kicking, so how could the mission have succeeded?

Jiang Qiu is an idol. One day, he is suddenly forced to share a telepathic connection with the actor Mo Shengyun, whom he can't stand. From then on, whenever he goes on a variety show, he hears Mo Shengyun reciting lines in his head; when he eats, he hears him negotiating; even when he sleeps, he hears him silently studying.

Jiang Qiu: ...You're so annoying! Are you a monk chanting sutras?

Mo Shengyun is also fed up with hearing Jiang Qiu's thoughts about food every day. The two meet in private to figure out how to get rid of this problem, but they unexpectedly get photographed.

They announce their relationship, setting off a storm of public opinion. Nobody believes it's real.

The telepathy will last a little less than a day. To get through this period while still working, they turn down their current engagements and sign up for a popular Dating Show.

Fans: This can't be real! I don't believe it!

Then the two use their telepathy to cheat: one gives the other answers in his mind, and the other says them aloud.

In the couples' challenge, they get full marks for how well they know each other and for their chemistry. They can answer questions about when the other debuted, details from his first movie,

how many words they exchanged in a day, whether he got into the car left foot first or right foot first, and the color of his underwear. Even when they blindly choose hotel rooms to sleep in, they pick exactly the same one.

They even make up a love story in their heads on the spot, just to get the other person to play the lovesick puppy. It happens all the time.

Jiang Qiu: "He brought me an umbrella when it rained..."

Mo Shengyun: "I said I wanted to break up, and he cried and clung to my leg, begging me not to."

Jiang Qiu: "...He apologized and said it wasn't..."

Mo Shengyun: "Qiuqiu makes me a loving lunch every day and takes me to work."

Jiang Qiu: You're ruthless.

Mo Shengyun: You're too kind.

The fans:

Fan A: If this isn't love, then what is?!

Fan B: They have to be real! If they're not, I'll wash my hair standing on my head!

As they spend time together, Jiang Qiu gradually realizes that Mo Shengyun isn't as cold and heartless as he imagined. He starts falling for him, but the Dating Show and their telepathic connection both come to an abrupt end.

He leaves with his secret crush and takes part in a movie made by his uncle. The next day, when he goes to audition, Mo Shengyun shows up too.

As the producer.

That night, Mo Shengyun corners him in the dressing room.

Jiang Qiu pretends to be casual. "Forget it. It's all over."

The door clicks shut. Mo Shengyun's gaze is dark and dangerous. "I can't."

Jiang Qiu: ??
