[Second Chances After a Breakup / Bittersweet Romance / Younger Childhood Friend. Please Give the Story a Chance TAT] [Complete. Exclusive to Jinjiang. The full story has only single-digit subscribers. Thank you for supporting the official release!] Wen Chaoshen had been shy and slow to warm up since childhood, like a plodding little tortoise. As he grew up, he had only two wishes: First, to become a director and make films. Second, to have Xi Zhui star as the leading man in one of his films. Fortunately, he achieved both. And his luck doubled when Xi Zhui became his boyfriend, too. Then an accident brought Wen Chaoshen's directing career to a complete halt. After a hastily written breakup text, his relationship with Xi Zhui was left unresolved as well. -- Years after they parted, Wen Chaoshen had become a down-and-out director whom no one in the investment world had faith in. No one was willing to act in his new screenplay. Meanwhile, Xi Zhui had become a dazzling new Best Actor, with film offers flooding in. Everyone said the gap between their positions was too great for them to make a film together again. Wen Chaoshen thought so himself, too. TAT But neither he nor the rest of the world knew that the esteemed Best Actor still resented being dumped back then, and was practically begging to join the production. (^_^) -- Years after their breakup, Xi Zhui never imagined that on the night they met again, Wen Chaoshen, who had always been so taciturn in his memories, would say: “Want to join the production? Then spend the night with me.” “What kind of ‘spend the night’ do you mean?” “The kind you’re thinking of. Get in bed with me.” “…” Well, well. His ex had made something of himself, and now he even dared to invite Xi Zhui to “get the role through the back door.” Xi Zhui's face turned cold and his gaze darkened. It took him just three seconds to accept the offer. That very night, he took Wen Chaoshen home and spent the night with him in every sense of the word. Later, he decided that one night together wasn't nearly enough. He still wanted a lifetime. -- Naturally spacey, shy, introverted director bottom (Wen Chaoshen) Sharp-tongued but soft-hearted, scheming and devoted Best Actor top (Xi Zhui) Don't ask. They are absolutely crazy about each other!!! “You have the starring role in my film script.” -- Please note: ① The top is one year younger. One-on-one, emotionally and physically devoted. The canon couple stays together, with no role reversal. Even while they were apart, they never stopped loving each other! ② After their reunion, the bottom suffers from a serious psychological illness. During episodes, he cannot control his behavior, but he will recover later. Please don't read if this isn't for you! The top is all bark and a softie at heart. He gets upset every day because his wife “doesn't love” him, but can't bear to let him leave again. ③ The timeline shifts around, though the story is mostly told in chronological order. Each chapter has a [New/Old] subtitle to distinguish the timelines. This is a bittersweet second-chance romance, with both sweetness and heartbreak, an even mix of fluff and angst, and both characters' perspectives. It absolutely has a happy ending. ④ The main characters aren't perfect. Both have their shortcomings in this relationship. Two tongue-tied people fall in love, grow together, make amends, and slowly find their happy ending! ⑤ Thank you to everyone willing to give this story a try. If it's not to your taste, feel free to stop reading. Wishing you all the best! Theme: Love yourself before loving someone else.
