Xie Yingxing responds in kind, using the same tone: "There's a lot you don't know, Marshal. I haven't spilled all the beans yet. Like how you've been secretly stirring up the Empire's politics and driving a wedge between the nobles and the rulers..."

"Oh, wouldn't the people upstairs kill you if they found out?"

Xie Yingxing feigns surprise, his chin resting on the tip of a knife. He laughs without a care, his eyes dazzlingly bright. "Oh, right, I've already organized all those dreams and uploaded them to my personal cloud. They'll be published automatically when I die. If I die, you won't be far behind. We can keep each other company on the road to the underworld, so we won't get bored."

The marshal scowls and puts away his knife. Just like that, he becomes Xie Yingxing's enforcer.

Then he realizes that rather than an enforcer, he seems more like a mascot.

The world mainly has insectoids (not humanoid), beastmen (with animal and human forms, as well as forms that are half human and half beast), and strange species (supernatural beings like elves and demons).
