Young Lady x rugged man | Ten-year age gap | HE

When Jiang Li was eighteen, she was like a stray dog with nowhere to go. She tried to drown herself, but Gu Pan saved her and took her in.

Instead of being grateful, she glared at him and scolded him for meddling.

Jiang Li was a spoiled, domineering young heiress who lied constantly. She was either causing trouble or on her way to cause more.

Gu Pan thought he'd had the worst luck in eight lifetimes, taking in such a little devil. He decided to assert his authority as a man and an elder, and teach her some discipline.

Sure enough, it didn't take long for his discipline to show results. The rebellious girl became well-behaved and did everything he asked.

But her gaze grew more intense, tinged with a desire he couldn't quite make sense of.

Gu Pan got it. The little brat had her eye on his body.

At twenty-eight, Jiang Li gave in to convention and decided to follow her elders' arrangements and get married.

But on the day she tried on wedding dresses, the man accompanying her wasn't her nominal fiancé. He was her ex, a man nobody else knew.

In the fitting room, Jiang Li comforted him: "At least you got to see the woman you love in a wedding dress. You haven't come away empty-handed."

Gu Pan frowned deeply. "Jiang Li, you planned all this just to mess with me."

Jiang Li taunted him. "That's right. So what if I'm messing with you?"

The man lowered his eyes, his voice stern and commanding. "You really are asking for a scolding."

Jiang Li smiled, hooked a slender finger into his collar, and leaned close to his ear. "Am I asking for a scolding, or for something else? Be more specific."

[Plenty of potential triggers. Readers who prefer spotless romance, proceed with caution.]
