Born into a family of musicians, with a doting father and a loving mother, Akiba Mao thinks she's just like everyone else, except that she has a little one by her side.
After returning to Japan, she makes friends who are all accompanied by Guardian Characters, and some of them even have more than one.
Akiba Mao: I'm just an ordinary elementary school student.
But even ordinary elementary school students have their worries.
In a nutshell: Akiba Mao wants to become the person she wants to be, but it's not that easy.
1. This story is told in the third person. The title comes from the last line of the song 'secret base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~.'
2. The pairing is NagiHiko. The romance develops slowly. Other pairings follow the anime. Please don't read if you mind.
3. I love every character in Shugo Chara! I won't bash anyone or steal anyone else's spotlight, and I'll do my best to keep everyone in character. The timeline and events in this story are mainly based on the anime, with the manga as a secondary source. Events related to NagiHiko's romantic storyline will be changed.
3. Honestly, I think the characters in the anime are all more mature than elementary schoolers. Their mental ages could be considered middle or high schoolers, so please don't worry too much about their age or how mature they seem in the story.
4. This is a slice-of-life story about growing up. The protagonist has flaws and isn't perfect. I like warm, everyday stories, so there won't be many power-fantasy or swoon-worthy moments. The protagonist is a local, not someone who transmigrates.
5. Updates whenever inspiration strikes. I'll do my best not to abandon it.
