[Genshin Impact] A Guide to Raising Your Pet

I unexpectedly turned into a cat in Teyvat. Since I feed on Geo energy, I was taken in by the retired Rex Lapis.

The Geo Archon, who worked under an assumed name, was pretty good at making money. Unfortunately, he was even better at spending it, and soon the burden of supporting the household fell on the cat. I struggled to keep food on the table. Sometimes, when I was especially hungry, I even eyed the Geo Archon's golden body with a gleam in my eyes...

One day, Ganyu carried me home after work, and we happened upon the Geo Archon punishing someone who had broken a promise.

"Those who break their word shall be punished by eating rocks."

Zhongli had just said this expressionlessly when he turned around and saw the cat's look of "What a great deal."

"..."

Once everything had settled and everyone involved had gone home, Zhongli caught a gluttonous cat stealing Crimson Agate.

"Didn't we agree you'd eat lighter for a while? Avoid spicy food. You finished today's snack allowance this morning, and now you're sneaking more at night. Do you want Baizhu to examine you again?"

The cat shrank back, then sat up obediently, its tail curling around its front paws. It looked up with all the confidence in the world.

"I broke my promise. Where's my punishment of eating rocks?"

"..."

Zhongli met those emerald-green cat eyes for a moment, silently placed a Jade Screen, and took away the box of agate.

A few things to know before reading:

1. Zhongli is the love interest.

2. Temporary caretakers will appear.

3. Please be friendly and don't argue.

4. I'll proofread after the story is complete~

This story is dedicated to easing the frustration of waiting so long for Zhongli's rerun.

To thank everyone for your support, starting at 600 bookmarks, I'll hold a vote for a 1v1 extra featuring a character other than Zhongli for every additional 100 bookmarks. The theme will be "What if the cat was picked up by him/her/it?" Each extra will be around 10,000 to 20,000 words. Voting details will be posted in the author's notes for the relevant chapters. Votes in the comments of the designated chapter will count. A winning character can be nominated again after sitting out three rounds. Come join in the fun~
