Luo Ya spent five years grinding away at the game Above the Abyss. While other players fought monsters, she focused on building. At last, she created a city-state she could be proud of.
But before she had even had a few days to celebrate, she discovered that her account had been stolen. All she had left was an alt account she used for errands and storing odds and ends.
Disheartened, she quit the game.
Then one day, Luo Ya transmigrated into the game, and found herself in the body of her alt account?
Since she was already here, what else could she do? She had to struggle to survive using this alt account she’d barely paid any attention to.
Only, the struggle to survive was turning out rather unexpectedly. Why were so many people eagerly volunteering to do things for her?
Until she found the game forum.
Oh. She had become the leader of the villain faction.
Her ultimate goal was to overthrow the queen.
But wasn’t the queen her main account?
After many years, the game Above the Abyss finally launched a new faction-versus-faction mode. The game’s steadily improving quality attracted a whole crowd of new and returning players.
New player: “Should I join the City-State Army or the rebels in faction mode?”
Veteran player: “Here’s a picture of the leaders of the two sides. Pick one.”
On one side stood a knight clad in armor from head to toe. On the other stood a silver-haired girl at the front of a crowd.
New player: “Is there even a choice?” The rebels, obviously!
But much later, a handful of players who had joined the City-State Army out of curiosity discovered an astonishing fact.
The queen looked almost exactly like the rebel leader?
In the city-state, the people confined the outsider who had entered the queen’s body and busily prepared for the true queen’s return.
The outsider couldn’t understand. The people of the city-state said, “No subject would fail to recognize their own queen.”
The queen’s knight commander thought for a moment. “You don’t speed up when you walk, you don’t teleport when you go out, and you don’t even skip dialogue. How could you possibly be her?”
The outsider: “???”
