The Endless Galaxy

[Chen Xing x Su Manhe]

Younger woman who doesn't call her older lover “Sis” and has wild ambitions x beautiful, chaste older woman

The first time I met Su Manhe was at her father's funeral.

When she was young, Su Manhe had a huge fight with her father and cut ties with him. She wore a long black dress, glittering like stars drifting through the night. People said she hadn't shed a tear, that she didn't love her father.

But I saw Su Manhe leaning against the railing, smoking, so lost in thought she didn't even notice when a stray spark burned her.

The second time I met Su Manhe was at my mother's funeral. I became Su Manhe's sister, though we shared neither father nor mother. Not a single relative was willing to take me in. I thought Su Manhe wouldn't take me in either.

The third time I met Su Manhe, she told me with a cold expression that I would be living with her from then on. She wouldn't take care of me, beyond covering my living expenses.

Su Manhe probably didn't mean any of that. After I finished the college entrance exam, someone tricked me into drinking at a bar. Su Manhe walked in, poured out the alcohol, took my hand, and told me to come home.

That was after we had argued, and I still said to Su Manhe, “I like you.”

At last, I understood why my father had cut ties with Su Manhe.
