[Western Crossover] A Wayne Cut from the Same Cloth

I was born into a wealthy family in Gotham. My father ran a company, and my mother was of noble blood. I had two older brothers and a younger sister, a pony in the manor's backyard, and a purebred Italian Greyhound. I had a walk-in closet full of dresses. I lived a life happier than most children could ever dream of, but I had a secret hidden behind perfectly sealed dark curtains.

My uncle's family died in a shooting in an alley, and crows wept at their funeral. Then the Reaper took my pony and my pet, and I found my sister's curled-up corpse deep in the forest. One brother died of drug poisoning: he accidentally took our father's blood pressure medication. Another brother died in bed after a severe battle with cancer. We wore mourning clothes all year round. The day after I found my poor father breaking down in his study, he died in a shooting, just like his brother.

I have a secret. My mother is a monster.

Bruce Wayne, the family's primary heir, returned to Gotham and said nothing about his years-long disappearance. When I heard the news, I was washing blood from my hands, watching the pink swirl vanish down the pristine white sink. Good, I said. He had arrived just in time for my mother's funeral.

My mother is a monster. If you had seen with your own eyes how she devoured my life, you would understand my choice.

1. Gotham melancholy, with a mystery vibe. Inspired by The Identical Daughter. Planning to start writing soon.

2. The heroine is Batman's cousin.

Theme: Take care of your mental health.
