Ji Sangduo was a modern-day master of figure making. He was disabled in both legs, and when a display rack toppled over, it struck him squarely on the head. He died, but not completely, because he transmigrated into the body of a college student.
He pulled out the student's ID card. It read: Ji Sangduo, citizen of Huaxia, enrolled in the Puppet-Making program at Mahaya Academy.
Ji Sangduo: ...What kind of nonsense is this?
Then he saw that the school was just as strange:
A Huaxia zombie student was ostracized for celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival because he was afraid of sticky rice dumplings. Students from the Wizardry and Sword Cultivation departments raced on broomsticks and swords, then got warned for speeding. A student from the Witchcraft and Gu Department couldn't get hired by the Qianji Pavilion because he hadn't raised a Celestial Gu...
Ji Sangduo: Not bad. Staying alive is an achievement in itself.
However, before he could celebrate transmigrating and getting healthy legs, he was told that a whole string of failed classes and missing credits meant he was about to be held back, and might even be expelled.
Ji Sangduo: ?????
Wait, you magic users do this stuff too?
And did the original owner spend all four years of college lying in bed? How had he not even passed the beginner puppet-maker certification? He'd even taken out student loans to study magic!
That year, a hardworking overachiever suddenly appeared among the fourth-year students at Mahaya Academy of Magic.
While the rich puppet maker in the neighboring class was still showing off his crude wooden puppets, Ji Sangduo had already made a life-size figure of the academy's guardian deity, decked out in gold and silver and covered in luxury-brand logos. It dazzled the entire school!
At the beginner puppet-maker exam, while a group of novices bowed and saluted with little figures made of corrugated cardboard, Ji Sangduo's ultra-light clay figure was already performing "Heavenly Paradise" on the spot.
At the school-wide magic competition, the talisman cultivators were drawing sparks with their brushes. Then the life-size guardian deity figure appeared, took two steps, and the opposing team raised a white flag.
Under this overachiever's leadership, Mahaya Academy rose to prominence at the World Magic Conference. Applications to the Puppet-Making program surged, and within six months it was approved as a top-tier program in the magic world. The academy rose from a second-tier school to a first-tier one, making a beeline for the top of the magical world.
Ji Sangduo smiled modestly. "It's nothing. Just the basic skill set of a figure maker."
But gradually, he discovered that the life-size figure of the academy's guardian deity that he'd made was becoming harder and harder to control. One day, it even pinned him against the wall.
The guardian deity, wearing a huge handmade gold chain and covered in luxury-brand logos, said, "I've fought alongside you so many times. I deserve a reward, don't I?"
#Help, the figure I made for fun is actually alive#
#What do I do if my figure wants me to be his wife?#
#I only wanted to avoid getting held back, but now I'm one of the academy's guardian deities#
Great, I've even got a career path now.
[Important notes]:
1. My usual style: wild and unhinged.
2. Please respect every zombie student who's afraid of sticky rice dumplings, and every corpse-driving student who uses disco to drive corpses. College students have it rough.
3. If the writing isn't great, this book may be the product of a talisman cultivator drawing sparks while making talismans. The author's mental state may be less than stable, so please be understanding.
