[Main Story Complete, Bonus Chapters Updated Irregularly]
Dong Shi once thought he would die in that cramped little room, but he never expected to be rescued by that godlike young man.
From then on, he was no longer a prisoner who had been locked up and hunted down. He became the mastermind who could turn the tide with a wave of his hand.
As long as he could get revenge, he would not spare even that young man.
Dong Shi: Your Highness, you were deceived so badly the first time you gave your heart to someone. You won't be able to love anyone again, will you?
Ninth Prince: It would be easier for me to crush you than an ant. I just want to see where your retribution lies.
Everyone said the Second Prince was a ridiculous good-for-nothing. Only Su Yue knew he was merely hiding his talents.
He was willing to be the Second Prince's dog, helping him become the most clearheaded person in the world and take care of his loathsome younger brothers.
Second Prince: Do you think the Ninth is better-looking than me? Do you think the Fourth is smarter than me? You keep staring at them all day. Why don't you look at me?
Su Yue: Your Highness, get a grip. You need to focus on your ambitions.
The Fourth Prince had dreamed of becoming emperor since he was a child.
That red-robed High Priest was his teacher, his friend, and his guardian deity, yet through a twist of fate, he became his lover.
Bound by a love gu, they shared a passionate, tender relationship. But for the sake of their great ambition, no matter how much it hurt, they had to let go.
Fourth Prince: Between us, it's only the love gu.
High Priest: What else would it be?
A beautiful top who starts out puppyish and turns into a ferocious wolf (Ninth Prince) & a heartless, mad bottom (Dong Shi)
A hyper-controlling, scheming top (Second Prince) & a lowly? actor bottom (Su Yue)
A seemingly proper but actually lecherous top (High Priest) & a queenly bottom (Fourth Prince)
Many content warnings, so please be sure to read:
1. There are four volumes, and the story is mostly complete. I'm revising and posting as I go. Volumes 1 and 4 are the main couple, while volumes 2 and 3 are the secondary couple. You can skip them if they're not your thing, and it shouldn't affect the story.
2. Ancient setting, so marriage is a must. The Fourth Prince has a wife, but theirs is a marriage of convenience, in name only. Skip it if you don't like that. (The other two couples are such awful people they can't find wives. My condolences to them.)
3. The main and secondary couples may include some good people, but most are rotten to the core. The characters are trash, and that has nothing to do with the author. I love you all. May there be peace in the world.
4. If anything offends you, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
5. Though the original plan was to write a melodramatic, tragic romance set in the palace, as I wrote, it started to feel a little sweet. Anyway, the main thing is that the blade is sweet, with sugar sharpened to an edge. All the endings are happy. Scumbags and dogs are together for life.
Theme: Condemn the decay and corruption of feudal society, and criticize the selfishness and cruelty of personal autocracy.
Great work, well written
Hahahaha, eavesdropping was discovered
I said earlier that it is taboo for a prince to interfere in government affairs, so I thought that Prince Shou was a wealthy prince who did not go to court. Then he said that he would go to court the next day. If he had already gone to court, wouldn't he be involved in government affairs? Where does the interference come from? Can someone explain the relationship between this?

The name Matchmaker is really unpleasant...
