? Centers on Jinpei Matsuda, no CP, a friendship-focused story that saves the Police Academy group
? Knows in advance that his classmates will die
? Secret identity story, with a warning for realistic violence
Jinpei Matsuda got a bad ending from the start and was bewildered.
He stared silently at the death endings of one classmate after another in his hands.
"Tch, how am I supposed to save them?! Four out of five are dead. What the hell am I supposed to do about that?" Jinpei Matsuda angrily hurled the script to the ground and shouted furiously.
Just then, a System called "Trade My Bad Ending for Your Happy Ending" appeared. It told Jinpei Matsuda that if he bound himself to it and completed one bad-ending script after another, he could bring his classmates back to life.
Jinpei Matsuda agreed without hesitation. What he didn't know was that this was only the beginning of his nightmare.
[Lead by Example / Walker in the Dark]
A short-tempered Public Security officer secretly infiltrates the Black Organization and begins a decade-long undercover mission.
Black clothes, curly hair, sunglasses perched on the bridge of his nose, and eyes full of malice and disdain. He holds explosives in his hand, seated atop a high-rise, his thick hostility aimed straight at the righteous friend before him.
Behind him lies a fiery hellscape. Mangled limbs and shattered glass and roof tiles fall around him. The screams of the people and the sound of the flames are his background music.
"Canadian Whiskey. That's my name."
[Forgotten by the World / Detective]
A detective with an almost nonexistent presence. He solved many cold cases, but no one remembered his name. They only knew his codename:
Number One
Whenever the young detective saw this man, something about him felt off. He had clearly just asked the detective's name, but somehow always forgot it. Maybe it was because the name was so common?
It wasn't until he was cornered by members of the liquor syndicate in a narrow alley, and the nearly invisible detective unhesitatingly took a bullet for him, that he realized he still hadn't remembered the man's name.
He'd asked so many times...
"Little detective, I'll tell you my name one last time."
"I'm Jinpei Matsuda. I'm... I'm glad to meet you..."
The little detective remembered him in the final moments of the detective's life.
And he was the only one who remembered.
[Growing Toward the Sun / Test Subject]
The brown-haired researcher felt that this test subject was extraordinary the first time she met him.
He wasn't like the bloodthirsty, violent members of the Organization, nor was he like the lifeless test subjects. He even spent the breaks between experiments tending flowers and feeding birds.
"Test Subject 1107, what are you doing?" the young brown-haired researcher asked curiously, watching the curly-haired man carefully whittle a block of wood.
"Making you a birthday present."
In the curly-haired man's hand was a little wooden figure. It looked just like her, full of life. At that moment, the brown-haired researcher realized that this person wasn't so bad after all.
"It's okay. I'll come back." The curly-haired man crouched until they were eye to eye and promised her earnestly. Before leaving, he ruffled her hair.
As the brown-haired researcher watched him walk away with such carefree confidence, she felt an emptiness in her heart.
"Test Subject 1107 confirmed dead."
The young researcher froze when she got the news. Immense despair and grief consumed her. Only then did she understand how fragile human life was.
"Don't cry for me, Shiho."
[Cut Down in His Prime / Magician]
When Kaito Kuroba was young and grieving his father's death, he met an amazing older boy.
He could always conjure up all kinds of things to cheer Kaito up when he was sad. Like his late father, he often told Kaito Kuroba, "Never forget your poker face."
He often took Kaito to all sorts of magic shows, where they watched performances of every kind. He also personally taught Kaito tricks he had never learned. With his help, Kaito Kuroba gradually emerged from the shadow of his father's death.
Then one day, Kaito could no longer find that older boy.
"Kaito, I'm going somewhere very, very far away. Don't miss me, and don't look for me. One day, we'll meet again."
Only after he became Kaito Kid and personally arrested the people who had killed his father did he learn the truth from them.
"You mean that curly-haired kid? We killed him ages ago and dumped him in the sea. He's probably in a shark's belly by now, hahaha..."
Matsuda had a fear of the deep sea.
Kaito Kuroba suddenly remembered. His face was expressionless, and the little detective beside him looked at him with concern.
He felt something wet on his face. He wiped it away, then resumed his usual Kaito Kid persona and left without hesitation, his hang glider on his back.
"Don't forget your poker face, Kaito."
After a series of bad-ending scripts, Jinpei Matsuda finally managed to keep his classmates from dying. But for some reason, his classmates and everyone else looked at him strangely.
"I forgot to remind the Host: the bad-ending scripts really happened, and everyone remembers them."
"What?!"
& The scripts really happened, and Jinpei Matsuda experienced them with genuine feelings. His sense of pain was not disabled while he was in the scripts!
& After all the scripts end, Jinpei Matsuda's mental state will be unstable! He remembers and feels everything from all the worlds!
