Cecily transmigrates into a world that worships the God of Light with fervor. Her once-prized black hair and black eyes become proof of her corruption, and the stake awaits as her final destination in this world.
Cecily: ...I'm as righteous as they come, okay?
But no one will believe a fallen child with black hair and black eyes.
In a dark, damp dungeon, she endures crawling insects, rot and stench, the screams of those being interrogated for their fall, and the approaching execution by fire.
"Actually, I worship Gu Nala, the God of Darkness," she tells the followers of the dark gods.
Which dark god Gu Nala actually is remains a matter for investigation. But their circumstances are dire, too. Hunger and pain are constant companions, and the Light Church's pursuit hangs over them like a sword. The land is barren, the conditions harsh, and even death has become a holiday worth celebrating.
Cecily grumbles as she rolls up her sleeves. Some time later, emerald-green wheat sprouts from the cursed earth, square towers rise in the Dark City, iron boxes speed back and forth, and long steel tubes roar with fire.
A gun in my right hand, an ear of wheat in my left. I am the witch you cannot kill.
Meanwhile...
The elders of the Dark City: Prosperity, democracy, civility, harmony, freedom, equality, justice, and the rule of law.
Black magic apprentices: Fifty-six faiths, fifty-six flowers~
Future dark mages still in their lessons: The king covers the tiger!
When Cecily first transmigrated, all she wanted was to survive. She never imagined she'd one day become the youngest elder of the Dark City, the highest-ranked alchemy master on the continent, and the object of the Light Saint's admiration.
Cecily: ...What was that last part?
As a Saint, Antler holds two firsts: the first Saint to have transferred from the Holy Knights, and the first to curse out the God of Light at his inauguration ceremony.
Of course, only he knows about the second first. To the public, Ansel is still the radiant and refined Saint.
The gods never existed in the first place. Human desire is boundless, even in the supposedly holiest Light Church. He finds it all incredibly boring.
That is, until he meets Cecily, an elder of the Black Magic City who can't use magic at all but is called a genius.
Wherever she is, the air smells wonderful, and the moon looks a little rounder.
Cecily: ...
Keep running your mouth and I'll blow you up!

Take a look at my next upcoming novel. It's a setting I absolutely love.
Osei is the orphan king of the eastern district of Vide City. She leads a group of older orphans in the roughest fights, takes the hardest jobs, and eats the cheapest bread. To survive, she won't let anyone earn even one extra copper coin off her.
Then knights in black armor shatter the peace of the border city. They bring the royal capital's decree and bloodstained swords. Only then do people realize that Oseidella, the orphan king of Vide City, has royal blood.
Under envious gazes, she enters a palace glittering with gold. The haughty queen holds a golden scepter, kindly priests murmur of divine blessings, and nobles dance gracefully to the music. Everything looks so wonderful.
But is that really the truth?
The queen is calculating whether she can get a good price in a deal involving her.
The nobles are plotting to eliminate the inconvenient heir.
And the merciful priest looks forward to her sacrifice with scorn.
Conspiracies are best at disguising themselves as gifts, while power and money make the finest disguises of all. The gifts fate bestows have had their price marked in secret from the start.
But why should she follow fate's arrangement?
Through the biting wind, across the thorns, she grows in blood. Power and money will never tame her wild, unyielding spirit.
In the shadows, Oseidella whispers:
I hope that one day, bloodline will no longer be a limitation, gender will no longer be a shackle, and everyone will be able to become the person they aspire to be.
I will redefine this world.
I will become queen.
Theme: Only humans control their own fate
By the way, is this a low-demon world or a demon-free world?
The author has written so many small dramas with male protagonists, why not catch the worm!
"Frammel was very respectful and said, "Catch a big bug for the author~" in awe
Beautiful and full of hope
She was indeed too frank, maybe because she wanted to find a companion, or maybe it was trust, but she delivered it too quickly, well, anyway, it was an easy way to show off.
The heroine does have leadership skills
"Heavier" is a big thorn in the side of the author~
What was the junior high school where she founded the Light Church? "Catch a big bug for the author~ original intention
Strange, why Cecily? Not Cecilia?
From what I saw all the way from Xianxiu, the trade expert looked very good. As for the long story, it may be necessary if you want to tell a good story with a grand background.
