Rain pattered down as a man's curses and a woman's scolding mingled noisily with the downpour. A frail little girl huddled in a corner.
The rain slapped her face and she shivered from the cold, but she didn't dare go back.
Just then, a boy slowly approached from afar and shielded her from the pounding rain. He asked softly, "Do you want to come with me?"
"Okay."
