A Few Tales from the Academy (Female-Dominated World)

Shannan Academy

The new male student, Jiang Yan, sits in front of Ying Zhaozhao.

At Shannan Academy, students of any gender are welcome, so a few boys in the classroom are nothing unusual.

But this new boy is a little different from the others.

First, the food he brings is delicious. Second, he smells sweet and feels soft. Then there's his delicate, timid voice. He's a crybaby, too: when he gets whacked with the ruler in class, he hides in a corner and cries. He's a little weak-willed and won't speak up when people bully him. Yet with that same temperament, he gets mad and ignores her like a puffed-up cat whenever she chats a little too long with another boy, even glaring at her. Of course, when she falls ill, he's so worried he cries. Once, she fell asleep in class. Everyone else had gone home, but Jiang Yan stayed behind. His bright, watery eyes darted around, and when he saw no one was there, he dared to come closer and give her a soft little kiss...

Help! She came to the academy to study. If her parents find out she's been flirting with a young gentleman there, she'll lose her legs. So Ying Zhaozhao starts avoiding Jiang Yan. To keep him from being distracted from his studies and getting too caught up in romance, she asks the teacher to move her seat, hoping to stop him from falling even deeper.

Jiang Yan realizes she's avoiding him. After class, he hurriedly goes to ask why she wants to change seats. She stammers, unable to answer, and then watches him run off crying. Jiang Yan doesn't show up to class for several days, and Ying Zhaozhao feels restless without him around...

In the end, Ying Zhaozhao has to work hard to soothe him, and they switch back to their original seats. But their good days don't last long. Before she knows it, it's time for Jiang Yan to discuss marriage. She hears that his father has picked out dozens of portraits of young ladies for him to choose from, and her portrait isn't among them! ... Ying Zhaozhao can't sit still. She rushes home and asks her parents to arrange a marriage proposal to the Jiang family.

In the end, Ying Zhaozhao successfully marries her beloved Jiang Yan.

A female-dominant setting, one-on-one, both leads are each other's first and only.
