The Imperial Military Academy awards its students two medals.
The White Magnolia Medal goes to the student who places first in a drill.
The Green Olive Medal goes to the student who writes the best report on a drill.
Major General Kailan won four White Magnolia Medals during his time at the academy.
Li Jingchi won two Green Olive Medals in his first two years.
In his third year, he was captured on the battlefield and taken to the Federation as a prisoner of war.
Six years later, he returned to the Empire.
He knew the major general despised traitors. The man had rescued him only because he looked exactly like his own older brother, Li Jingyun.
But that was all right.
As long as he could be of help to the major general, that was enough.
Li Jingchi didn't want to be a Green Olive. He wanted to be the major general's White Magnolia.
