One day, while celebrating with all the surviving juniors from Class 78 that the Despair Incident was almost over, they were approached by a glowing orb claiming to be the world's consciousness. And so Classes 77 and 78 were sent together to a world full of "hope" (cursed spirits) to gather fragments of despair...
Hinata Hajime: Even though we've gone back to the age we were when we first enrolled, and even though part of our school has been moved here, we still have to work hard to develop ourselves. Otherwise, how can we call ourselves "Ultimate"?
