Ye Xun dies unexpectedly. When he opens his eyes again, he's transmigrated into a book titled The Sword Venerable's White Moonlight Returns, and the Substitute Starts Slacking Off.
Just reading the title is practically the same as reading the whole book, except the plot has a bug.
At the end, the overpowered villain runs a sword through the hearts of the protagonist couple, then storms the heavens, tramples the Three Realms, and claims the fortune of the entire world.
In exchange for a second life, Ye Xun has to fix the plot bug and help the male lead defeat the villain.
Right now, the future villain is stealing fruit from his plate.
The villain's true form is a fox. He hasn't transformed into human form yet. When he sees Ye Xun wake up, his ears instantly prick up, and his dewy eyes gaze at him, utterly pitiful.
Ye Xun presses his lips together. He's always wanted a fox, but never had the chance.
Raising the villain right might count as fixing the plot, too...
Ye Xun takes the little fox as his disciple and gives him a serious warning: You have to become best friends with the male lead, the kind who share everything. Don't fight.
Little Fox: Okay!
A few days later.
Ye Xun sees the male lead with his heart ripped out and stuffed into his belly, while the little fox wags his tail cheerfully, waiting for praise.
Ye Xun: ...That's not what "share everything" means!
Thankfully, the male lead's cultivation method is bizarre. He's already made himself into a puppet, so his organs can be put back in.
But now they can't be friends. Ye Xun rubs his temples. "Forget it. From now on, turn around and leave whenever you see the male lead."
Little Fox: Okay!
A few days later.
Ye Xun sees the male lead's head at his door.
Ye Xun: ...That's not what I meant by "turn around and leave," either!
Ye Xun nearly fails his mission. He lectures the little fox tirelessly and teaches him Chinese one-on-one.
At last, he teaches the little fox the entire Chinese workbook for the college entrance exam.
Years later.
Ye Xun lets out a long sigh of relief. "You've graduated."
The little fox has grown up and taken human form. His eyes are still bright as he takes a set of wedding clothes from his storage bag. "Master, you have been kind to me. According to our fox traditions, I have to marry you to repay you."
Ye Xun holds his breath again. "You're doing this to get back at me."
#A white moonlight of the Three Realms who seriously raises a fox x A disciple with terrible Chinese who respects his master#
#A silly, sweet little story. It probably won't be very long#
The protagonist's name will be changed when the story begins, but the premise will stay the same.
