Don't Pick Up Strange Men in the Wasteland

Reborn into the apocalypse, Chen Jinyu brings back the supplies from his spatial storage. Sick of all the backstabbing, all he wants is to scavenge junk in the wasteland.

On his very first day, though, Chen Jinyu finds a wild man in the ruins. The man looks a lot like the city lord who bullied him terribly in his previous life.

The city lord reaches out a bloodied hand and grabs Chen Jinyu. "Help... help me?!"

Chen Jinyu kicks the wild man's hand away, accidentally catching him in the head. Oh, damn, his skull's split open...

"..."

The wild man holds a grudge. Bleeding all the way, he crawls for several kilometers and somehow finds Chen Jinyu's hideout.

A month later, Chen Jinyu secretly dumps the wild man, only to get taken hostage.

"Quick! Take me home!"

Chen Jinyu turns around. His teeth ache at the sight. It's that damn nemesis again, the one who made his life miserable, threatening him with a dagger.

"Threatening me? If you've got the guts, then stab me!"

He snatches at the dagger. In the struggle, it plunges into his nemesis's kidney.

"...My hand slipped. Do you believe me?"

Two months later, on another dark and windy night, he secretly dumps his nemesis too. A bloodied face rises from the mass grave. "I saw everything. If you want to keep this secret, you'll do what I say from now on!"

Chen Jinyu swings his blade, and the other man's head rolls across the ground.

"...I'm the Zombie King. Put my head back where it belongs, or else..." The corpses sleeping in the mass grave come back to life and stagger toward Chen Jinyu.

Chen Jinyu, now as meek as a lamb, quietly leads the Zombie King back to his little hideout. This wild man has even claimed his place for himself. Worse still, the city lord and his nemesis are crammed into the hideout too...

"Please, take me in. I have nowhere else to stay."

"Ahem, my injuries haven't healed yet, and the outside is crawling with zombies..."

The Zombie King feels his dignity has been insulted. "Get out!"

Chen Jinyu can barely eat or sleep. All day long, he thinks about how to kill these men.

Damn it, why are there so many wild men in the wasteland? All he wanted was to scavenge some junk.
