[Sentinel-Guide] Back to When My Husband Was Still Whole

Wen Lu, a guide with C-rank spiritual power, was mocked as a cripple at military school. After failing his final exam, he was assigned to the retired, disabled Major General Tantай Yue. Wen Lu didn't like him. He didn't even have a spiritual form. All of Tantай Yue's former subordinates said, “Even old, the major general's still a Ferrari.” He might seem stiff, old-fashioned, and unromantic now, but he used to be quite the charmer when he was young. Before losing his spiritual form and becoming disabled in that famous battle, he had even been a strong contender to lead the Sentinel Tower. So on his birthday, Wen Lu made a wish: For his husband to become ten years younger and whole again. When he woke up, the handsome young man beside him was breathtaking. But the peaceful retirement housing had become a frontline Sentinel Tower duty room, and Major General Tantай Yue had become Squad Leader Tantай Yue. His lively white lion spiritual form let out a roar that woke half the tower. Wen Lu had transmigrated ten years into the past, to a time before humanity was overrun by mutated beasts and lost half its border towers and territory. Not wanting anything more to do with Tantай Yue, Wen Lu ran off on the spot. He thought that if he worked hard at military school, he could avoid being forcibly assigned to someone. But after being bullied mercilessly by the scum at military school again, Wen Lu had nowhere else to turn. He went back to the young and promising Tantай Yue. When Tantай Yue asked what their relationship was, Wen Lu shouted: “I'm your wife!” · The young Tantай Yue thought Wen Lu was very interesting. He said he was Tantай Yue's wife, but wouldn't let him touch him. Yet he chased after Tantай Yue's white lion spiritual form to brush its fur, and spent all night slowly tending to Tantай Yue's spiritual sea. The pretty little guide kept saying he was only C-rank and was bullied at military school. But if he could soothe the spiritual sea of an S-rank like Tantай Yue, he had to be at least S-rank himself. Maybe he had some hidden condition, but it didn't matter. Tantай Yue would protect him. Until the beast tide attacked. Before his spiritual form was torn apart, the little guide did everything he could to protect him. · When the battle ended, Tantай Yue woke from unconsciousness and discovered that he hadn't been torn apart by the beast tide. Instead, he had arrived ten years in the future. His wife was in bed, embracing the Tantай Yue from ten years later. The younger Tantай Yue poked the two of them and asked a question that struck at the soul: “So what do we do now?” Wen Lu was torn, while the mature Tantай Yue thought it over carefully and offered a suggestion. “A sandwich?” Theme: There's always one version of me who loves you.
