Shiba Takeru, the eighteenth head of the Shiba family, could not understand how the so-called ruler of the Sanzu River could lack the ability to destroy the Gedoushu.
As the last nine-tailed fox in existence, the true ruler of the Sanzu River, Kyuubi Chitose, explained that she and the Gedoushu were species living in the same river. They shared the same roots, so why should they fight each other?
Takeru: ...
As a young fox who had only recently come of age, Chitose said she had lived for just three hundred years and had nothing like the power of her ancestor, Lady Tamamo-no-Mae.
Ryunosuke, Mako, and the others said, "Chitose, that's not what you said when you saved the Lord last time!"
