Synopsis
Youth is a time when you have your first dreams, and can strive for them and look forward to the future; when you have close friends to laugh and joke with, and confide in; when the first buds of young love can be cherished and imagined... Growing up later means losing so much. The journey from youth to adulthood is like walking out of the sunlight and slowly drawing near the night...
We are always searching for that so-called answer, never realizing that the answer we want is right beside us.
While writing "The Flowers Fade and Bloom Again," I couldn't make heads or tails of it, yet my thoughts went on and on, continuing to wander through chance encounters. I didn't know that the pages, yellowed with age, were already covered in withered traces. The confusion of gazing up at the stars was, in my eyes, nothing more than fragmented memories. As my pen slid across the page, the seasons turned in a blur. Where had my hazy, wine-soaked longing gone now? In my heart, I quietly begged for mercy. Time drifted along the edge of mint and vanilla. The leaves of the parasol trees still swayed in the summer breeze, their ripples swept up and swallowed by the taste of sunlight. The silhouette that vanished from the windowsill no longer huddled beneath the eaves after the rain. The fragments of those turbulent days scattered beside the stone-paved road, waiting to fade into silence. The broken leaves on the branches still wore their muted hues; the peeling bark on the trunk was nowhere to be seen. The cicadas' hoarse, low lament, the flowers lying there with a smile, the many twists and turns through wind and rain: none could conceal summer's sorrow. The glaring sunlight slid down the branches and fell before my eyes, unable to bear the spreading longing. The ivy gleamed in the corner, and the scent of memories quietly dampened the air, but I could no longer find the notes I had written back then.
