Five years ago, an unknown virus spread through human society. Most people infected with it began to rot. Their brains started to atrophy, and eventually their minds vanished, turning them into zombies that were both highly aggressive and highly contagious. A tiny fraction of people developed supernatural abilities instead. These gifted people brought humanity hope, and so the apocalyptic war between humans and zombies began in earnest.
