Competing on a Talent Show with My Ex-Wife

What do you do when you run into your ex-wife on the same talent show, a year after your divorce?

Ning Ting: If you ask me, we just pretend we don't know each other.

At the opening performances, Yu Qingwu's ethereal singing silenced the entire room the moment she began. When she danced, her figure moved with effortless grace.

The older sisters watching in the waiting room were all amazed.

The camera cut to Ning Ting.

Ning Ting: "She's just okay."

She'd seen it all before.

The audience: As expected, Ning Ting and Yu Qingwu don't get along. You can feel the hostility through the screen.

During the first team performance, Ning Ting was forced to join Yu Qingwu's group.

Yu Qingwu coached her in person.

Ning Ting: "Don't touch me!"

She's too close. Ning Ting still has feelings for her.

The other contestants: Too scared to make a sound.

The audience: They're fighting! They're fighting!

The audience: But they're both so gorgeous. What do I do if I kind of ship them?

Later, more and more fans began shipping this unlikely couple, and more and more people started scrutinizing the little details.

During a break, Yu Qingwu answered a call.

"Auntie, Auntie, how much longer do you have to film the show? I miss you!"

After that call ended, Ning Ting's phone rang.

"Big Sister, Big Sister, I miss you."

The two calls had the exact same sweet, clear child's voice.

Fans: I think I've discovered something incredible.

Fans: Is there something wrong with my ears?

On the night of the group debut finale, Ning Ting posted on Weibo.

The picture showed her and Yu Qingwu posing intimately together.

Ning Ting: Sorry, the couple you're shipping is real, but you're seven years late.

The whole internet went wild.
