I'm the Trailblazer, currently traveling through the vast universe as a passenger on the Astral Express. Recently, my companions and I arrived in a country called the "Land of Samurai."
It had been a long time since this country deserved that name. Twenty years ago, the "Amanto" suddenly fell from the sky and grew increasingly powerful. On top of that, the Sword Abolishment Edict further weakened the samurai class. In this era, there was only one man with the soul of a true samurai...
Hey, don't just copy someone else's opening!
A pair of glasses beside me, known as Shinpachi, shouted.
During our landing in Edo, I was unlucky enough to get separated from my companions. Then a giant white dog gobbled up my phone, and I lost contact with them. So for now, I'm staying at the home of the giant dog's owner, a little shop called the Yorozuya.
Well, at least I'm not leaving until they pay for the damages.
After failing to find my lost companions, I hired the Yorozuya to search for them and went alone to take on the grand task of turning over every trash can in Edo.
Then one day, I caught a glimpse of the news on TV.
How have you ended up on the wanted list again after just a few days, March 7th?! Why did you inexplicably become a Joi rebel as soon as you got here?!
If that were all, it would still be fine. But in the next news report, I saw another companion wearing a police uniform.
"Kagura, does the Shinsengumi's job include hunting down Joi rebels?"
"Seems like that's the main job of those tax thieves, aru."
Great. After getting separated, one of my companions became a terrorist, while another became a police officer who hunts terrorists.
Forget sealing Stellarons. I miss my mom so much.

The main story is written in third person.
A crossover fanfic between the game Honkai: Star Rail and the anime Gintama. I thought it would be fun to combine these two great works, and that's how this idea was born.
It's a laugh-out-loud, snarky comedy with zero logic. The goal is to be absurd and fun!
Ensemble cast focus, romance undecided.
Theme: Happiness comes first.
