[Volume 01 Complete]
[Brave, saintly god bottom (Lin Sen) x unhinged, fun-loving demon top (Qin Xuan)]
Lin Sen has a tumor in his brain, so he often sees things that aren't there.
In his hallucinations, Qin Xuan is a vague, dark silhouette sitting by his hospital bed, always telling Lin Sen terrible jokes.
It isn't until Lin Sen enters the infinite-flow game "Dreamscape" that he realizes Qin Xuan, whose "hallucinations" have never gone away, is actually his guardian spirit.
Lin Sen thinks the Qin Xuan in the game is a starving mad dog.
Qin Xuan will find every player who poses a threat to Lin Sen and snap their necks without hesitation. He will devour every ghost weaker than himself, even going out of his way to eat every ghost in a maze. He remembers every ghost who has a grudge against Lin Sen, and fights a giant-mouthed female ghost several times stronger than him until his bones are shattered...
Unfortunately, Lin Sen can never get a leash around Qin Xuan's neck.
Qin Xuan, the ninth son of the Demon Lord, tried to use the forbidden art of "borrowing" the powers of the gods of consciousness and dreams in order to seize the Demon Lord's throne.
But Qin Xuan botched everything.
The powers of consciousness and dreams, mixed with Qin Xuan's demonic energy, fell upon the human world and became an infinite-flow game called "Dreamscape."
After losing his powers, Qin Xuan became a weak guardian spirit.
Qin Xuan didn't want to be torn to pieces by an enraged god, so he could only protect Lin Sen in the game and delay the god's awakening.
Qin Xuan thinks that even without his memories as a god, Lin Sen is still a brave saint.
Lin Sen will fight the plastic models in the infirmary without hesitation, just to take an unfamiliar player to get their wounds dressed. Lin Sen will walk alone through a swarm of goldfish in the air in the middle of the night, then leap into a pitch-black swimming pool. Lin Sen will collect coins in a pixel maze and give them to other players, and even write everyone's names on the list of people who passed the exam.
This is a nightmare. Qin Xuan has discovered that he's allergic to saints.
