In the scorching summer heat, Yu Tang moves into a new home and brings lemon juice to introduce herself to the neighbors.
The door opens. A handsome man in casual clothes stands there, the light in his long, phoenix-shaped eyes as cool and pure as morning mist.
Yu Tang recognizes him at once. After all, she just saw his face on a six-foot ad at the cold drink shop.
Go back six months: Pei Chu attends the Golden Deer Awards and becomes a three-time Best Actor, basking in boundless glory.
Go back three years: Pei Chu makes his debut and shoots straight to fame, becoming a top-tier star across the country.
Go back five years: Pei Chu's name tops the honor roll for their entire grade.
Yu Tang looks at her own name right beside "Pei Chu" on the list and smiles to herself, taking a photo on her phone and carefully saving it.
Unfortunately, they barely knew each other back then, and now they have even less to say.
Yu Tang offers him the lemon juice, exchanges a few polite words, and goes home.
She tosses and turns in bed all night, unable to sleep.
What she doesn't know is that the neighbor next door is also tossing and turning, unable to sleep.
