Years later, An Ning saw that person again. The reckless look in his eyes made her feet feel rooted to the ground, her steps heavy.
She fled in disarray, but he chased her and cornered her.
A kiss, full of teasing, fell on her lips as he held her captive in his arms.
After humiliating her, she glared at him angrily. "What exactly do you want?"
He spoke slowly. "Long time no see. I just wanted to catch up with an old classmate."

The rain came down in torrents that night. He sat in a black luxury car and caught sight of her crouching by the roadside.
Traffic flowed without end, and the downpour showed no sign of letting up.
He told the driver to stop, then got out with a black umbrella.
He held it over her head, shielding her from the rain.
An Ning looked up and saw the person she had longed for day and night standing right before her.
He held out a hand. "Come in and get out of the rain."

Later, An Ning asked him why he had chosen to become a celebrity.
Lu Rong replied, "I used to run as hard as I could, wanting to stand at the top of a mountain. I thought that way, you might see me. Then I realized that everyone in the world had seen me except you. Even so, I still want to stand at the top of the mountain now, because from there I can see the whole world."
And I can see you, too.
