Obsession (Kiss You Like a Rose)

Chen Niannian was Lu Mingcheng's secretary for three years.

Lu Mingcheng doted on Chen Niannian for three years.

At his most indulgent, he could spend eight figures at an auction to buy her a diamond ring.

On the terrace at a party, a close friend teased him: "You already gave her a ring. When are you getting married?"

Lu Mingcheng curled his lips lazily. "It was just for fun. Why take it seriously?"

Nearby, Chen Niannian's red lips turned deathly pale.

Later, Chen Niannian quits her job and moves overseas.

When she returns years later, she's a renowned fashion designer.

A company invites her to discuss a collaboration.

There, she runs into Lu Mingcheng again.

The person in charge of the company introduces them enthusiastically: "Miss Chen, you know Second Young Master Lu, don't you?"

Chen Niannian's heart is as still as water. "No, I don't."

At the corner of the hallway, Lu Mingcheng pins Chen Niannian against the wall, his eyes red and his voice hoarse. "You don't know me?"

"Then what were we to each other back then?"

I made a few changes to the setup. Note from June 23, 2023.
