Li You is the crown princess of the Great Yi Dynasty. Talented in both letters and arms since childhood, she is clever and resolute, the ideal heir to the throne in the eyes of the people.

She was engaged to the legitimate son of the Minister of Rites, but a month before the wedding, she was attacked by villains.

Not only did she lose her sight, but her health also became frail.

With her position as crown princess in jeopardy, the Minister's household was not having it:

"How can I let my son marry a useless person?"

On their wedding night, Li You sits on the bridal bed, her expression calm.

Darkness surrounds her, and all is silent, making the timid "My wife" from the person beside her especially clear.

Li You takes the young man's hand.

A gentle smile appears on her face, but her heart is cold.

A case of mistaken identity, with a concubine's son passing as the legitimate heir.

Did these people really think she was a fool who couldn't even recognize her own fiancé?

Still, she curls her lips into a smile and draws him into her arms.

She answers softly, "Mm. I'm here."

A year after the crown princess and her consort marry, they are devoted to each other and deeply in love.

They not only have the emperor's first legitimate granddaughter, but Li You's health gradually improves as well.

Everyone is overjoyed when she regains her sight.

The emperor even pats her on the shoulder and says with deep feeling, "The empire of Great Yi must be entrusted to the crown princess."

Surrounded by smiles and congratulations, Li You is not very happy.

She returns to her chambers with a grim face and smashes the glazed jade cup on the table, blood seeping from her fingers.

Her consort has abandoned her and their child, fleeing in haste on this snowy night.

How dare he...

The Minister of Rites is imprisoned for corruption, and his entire family returns to their hometown.

The emperor feels his age catching up with him and abdicates in favor of the crown princess, who chooses Tianrui as her era name.

The new emperor ascends the throne with no one in her harem. Every family rushes to send their sons into the palace.

Li You, however, sneaks into a country estate on the outskirts of the capital.

Looking at the handsome, refined man before her, his face pale, she lifts his chin and kisses his damp eyelashes.

Her voice is tender:

"Yan'er, you're carrying our second child already. Still don't want to come home with me?"

Theme: Sincere devotion will ultimately bring a happy ending.
