Due to an operator's mistake at the Transmigration Bureau, Song Xi accidentally got swept into a martial arts world. It would take three to five years before she could return to modern society.
To compensate her for this undeserved misfortune, the Transmigration Bureau decided to bind her to a God of Cooking System and generously give her a bankrupt restaurant.
Song Xi: "..."
At first, she treated it like an immersive management game set in an ancient martial arts world, running the place with care and diligence.
That was until she saw a martial artist succumb to cultivation deviation, his face twisted as he chased people and tried to bite them.
Song Xi was horrified.
Z-Zombies?!
.
Cultivation deviation syndrome was incurable. It affected martial artists unpredictably, striking without warning.
Once it took hold, sufferers lost their minds and attacked others.
The major sects decided to unite and form the Hengshan Alliance, an organization dedicated to dealing with those who succumbed to the condition.
Just as panic swept through the martial arts world, the Fortune Comes Restaurant appeared out of nowhere, dominating the food scene with medicinal dishes that could bring those afflicted back to their senses.
This caught the attention of the Hengshan Alliance. As they tried to recruit her, they also probed and speculated about the background of the restaurant's owner, Song Xi.
An outsider from another world, owner of a God of Cooking System, Song Xi:
Guess who. If you do, I'll stand on my head and wash my hair.
.
The Hengshan Alliance believed Boss Song was merely an ordinary person, too weak to even truss a chicken.
Even though she was brazen and domineering, never willing to put up with anything, and dared to turn martial artists away at the door, order them around, and snap right back at them whenever she was displeased, all while ripping them off like crazy.
The only reason Boss Song could get away with it was that they needed her medicinal dishes.
They were simply putting up with her.
Boss Song was just an ordinary person. There was nothing to fear.
The Hengshan Alliance clung to this belief until a high-level berserker attacked, leaving them with heavy casualties.
Just as everyone had given up hope, Boss Song strode into battle with a gun in hand, took aim with one eye, and shot the berserker dead.
Looking at her impassive face, everyone felt fear rise within them.
Impassive Song Xi: Thanks for asking. It was my first time firing a gun. I was so scared I couldn't even manage a facial expression.

#A cyberpunk martial arts world version of Resident Evil#
It's weird. Basically, just weird.
1. The heroine starts out as a chaotic neutral fun-seeker, treating the martial arts world like a management game.
2. The diseases and medicine in this story are entirely made up by me.
Theme: Cherish life
It's so frustrating. No, I can't stand it. I was coaxed and threatened and it wasn't voluntary at all.
13.3 It should be tiptoeing, right? Come on~
