Military ABO / Interstellar / Post-apocalyptic
Earth's magnetic poles reverse, leading to mass extinction.
After enduring extreme events including ozone layer depletion, an ice age, a zombie virus outbreak, and an alien invasion, planetary civilization begins to upgrade autonomously. After three stages of evolution, humanity rebuilds its civilization in the Milky Way.
Wen Huai, an Alpha general who completed the third stage of evolution ahead of everyone else and advanced to the fourth, is a legendary figure in the New Federation. He has never lost ground in the struggle for interstellar resources.
Li Chu has only just completed the second stage of evolution and differentiated into an Omega. He follows his teacher to the Third Military District to work as a military doctor. His gentle nature often earns him the disdain of those around him, so he can only hide his feelings and admire Wen Huai from afar.
But Li Chu knows that the New Federation has given Wen Huai an order: when the Kohlbergs invade again, he must bond with the New Federation's strongest Omega and conceive a superhuman who will possess the ability to evolve to the third stage from birth.
That strongest Omega is his teacher, a third-stage Omega and human doctor.
Li Chu knows he's unremarkable, but by chance he's assigned to Wen Huai's side as his personal military doctor. Whenever Wen Huai is in danger on a mission, Li Chu keeps risking his life to save him.
Wen Huai thinks Li Chu truly loves him.
So when he hears Li Chu reporting to his superior outside the high-security laboratory, saying that he's already gained Wen Huai's trust and will definitely create a superhuman first, Wen Huai realizes that the seemingly sweet and obedient young military doctor is not as simple as he appears.
Li Chu approached him with an ulterior motive.
After learning the truth, Wen Huai loses all hope and applies to the president for a transfer to the front lines. But his ship is caught in a gamma-ray burst along the way, and General Wen Huai goes missing.
When Wen Huai opens his eyes again, he finds himself inside a liquid-based live-organism cultivation pod, his limbs restrained by electronic shackles.
Outside, Li Chu presses himself against the pod's glass, stroking his slightly swollen belly. His eyes are misty as he gazes at Wen Huai pitifully.
"The baby needs your pheromones. Could you please stay..."
Reader's guide:
1. All the potential triggers are in the blurb, so please read carefully.
2. One-on-one, both leads' first time, and pregnancy! Pregnancy! This story has pregnancy! It happens in the middle to later part of the story, so don't read if that's a dealbreaker.
3. Military ABO / post-apocalyptic / interstellar, plus a bunch of personal worldbuilding. Please don't dig too deeply into it, as the author's weak knowledge of physics won't stand up to scrutiny.
4. The shou is sweet on the outside but dark inside, though at heart he's a sweet, pitiful little thing. Don't force yourself to read if that's not your thing. The shou also has another super amazing, unbelievably powerful identity, which I'm still working on...
5. I was hungry for stories where a sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside shou turns the tables on the gong, so I decided to write one myself. Anyone who's into that is welcome to come share a meal with me.
Theme: Never give up lightly. There is still hope for the future.
