Yan Ze is a bit-part actor at the very bottom of the industry. After eight years in the business, he's still a nobody.
The good news: a System that's 25 years late has finally arrived.
The bad news: it's a crime System.
Yan "Law-Abiding Good Citizen" Ze sticks to his principles.
With a crime System in tow, he keeps playing bit parts.
But things gradually start going off the rails.
Yan Ze goes on a detective variety show as a bystander NPC, only to be inexplicably identified as the murderer.
He auditions for a mystery drama, and the director casts him as the criminal.
Big shots in prison binge-watch his shows, then get out and become superfan celebrities, all bowing to him when they meet him.
Netizen A: Is he really not an escaped criminal on the run? (Shaking in fear.jpg)
Netizen B: I'm looking through the wanted posters QAQ
Police: Confess and you'll be treated leniently. Resist and you'll be dealt with harshly. Confess to your crimes.
Yan Ze: Heaven above, judge the innocent and guilty!
I'm really not a criminal on the run!!!
Reader's Guide: Fictional setting, a little bit of people over-interpreting things, and a law-abiding protagonist.
Theme: Obey the law and be a good person.
