The Gas Station Part-Timer's Ghost Gate

This novel will be published on Friday, April 26. There will be three chapters at publication, and chapters 27 through 38 will be removed from the free version. Please take note. Lan Lin wanted to lie flat, inherit his family's gas station in the desert, and create an oasis of his own. Until one day, everything was turned upside down, and strange phenomena began to occur. Why had the sea buckthorn saplings he'd planted yesterday vanished overnight? Why was the tap water flowing backward? Where did those eyes glittering in the dead of night come from? Where was the midnight wailing coming from... From then on, the world changed completely. Creatures from legend became real, and his ordinary parents turned out to be government employees in the underworld. The gas station he'd inherited was actually a frontline gate to the realm of the dead. Lan Lin was forced to take up an important post, and from then on, his life became a whirlwind of activity. There are three perks to getting a job in the underworld: social insurance and housing benefits are guaranteed, you keep your post from birth to death, and you can't escape even if you go to heaven or hell. In short, you still have to work after you die. Life just keeps getting more and more eventful. Reader advisory: 1. Lan Lin has no romantic pairing, because wage slaves don't have time for love. 2. Updates follow the rankings before publication, then daily afterward, tentatively at 12 noon. 3. My completed older works are The Pet Treat Shop and The Neighbor Is on a Rural Variety Show. Theme: Plant trees and protect our home.
