Fondness

Wen Ying, the number-one female star on the entertainment industry's blacklist, has a documented record of dumping seventeen boyfriends.

What goes around comes around. The heartbreaker got her heart broken when her fiance cheated on her in public, and Wen Ying was mocked all over the trending topics for an entire month.

To wipe away the humiliation, she slipped into a banquet for the elite and rose to the challenge, setting her sights on the most unreachable man in Sijiu City: Ji Chi.

Everyone waited to see her make a fool of herself, but she was determined to get what she wanted. That very night, she landed a new trending topic: #Wen Ying's New Love#.

Everyone was stunned, but she wasn't happy with the accompanying photo. "My left side photographs better."

The next day, the trending topic's cover photo was changed. Her left jawline was clearly visible.

Everyone thought Wen Ying had pulled out all the stops to win over the young master of the Ji family.

But they had no idea that all she had said, from start to finish, was, "Nice to meet you. I'm Wen Ying."

Even she didn't know why those words had worked so well.

Because not one of them was true.

On a winter day after the snow, an entertainment reporter snapped Wen Ying on the roadside after an awards ceremony. She wore an oversized suit jacket over her evening gown, while a distinguished man bent his head to light her cigarette.

In the brief flare of the lighter, Wen Ying raised an eyebrow and teased him. "Why have you never called me big sister?"

Ji Chi snapped the lighter shut, his voice full of resentment. "When I called you that, you never even spared me a second glance."

Burying her face against his neck, Wen Ying giggled. "You really do hold a grudge."
