Yu Changbai looks at his young disciple in a bright, beautiful dress. “You’re a girl!”
Lu Yao / Lu Yao / Xiao Qi cries pitifully. “Master, please don’t send me away.”
Yu Changbai calculates his fate with his fingers. She’s a girl, but she’s not the heroine. “I never said I’d send you away.”
Later still...
Yu Changbai looks at the man standing a head taller than him. “Where’s my disciple? Where’s that big, beautiful girl I took in?!”
