The Dark Knight of Eternal Night

Darkness is consuming this continent.

Bards spread grim tidings:

The great and merciful "Lord of Dawn" has been sealed away. The light he left behind has been devoured by another, cruel, monstrous god, the "Sovereign of Eternal Night."

More and more parts of the continent are becoming "Eternal Nightlands," where the sun never rises.

As the Eternal Night spreads, the brand of a curse known as divine punishment begins to take hold.

The cursed gradually transform in agony into grotesque monsters that attack anything in sight.

And so:

Ruins are strewn with bones.

Carrion crows wheel through the sky.

Countless monsters howl in celebration.

The lands swallowed by the Eternal Night are slowly reduced to wasteland.

The Dawn Church has even abandoned the inhabitants who could not escape, deeming them ill omens.

Some hope to win the mercy of the Eternal Night and escape the curse's corruption.

Others are awed by its power and yearn from the heart to serve the King of Darkness.

The survivors struggling to stay alive eventually become worshippers of the Eternal Night.

.

Regular, crisp footsteps can often be heard across the lifeless wasteland.

A knight clad in black armor travels alone through the mists of the Eternal Night.

Slender and tall, not especially imposing in size, yet able to wield an enormous greatsword and slay enemies several times his size.

The faithful say he is the Black Knight of the Eternal Night, an agent who judges heretics.

Beneath the throne of the cruel "Sovereign of Eternal Night," he is the most loyal and powerful hound.

[Reader Notice]

1. The pairing is Sovereign of Eternal Night (top) x Black Knight (bottom), a possessive god of darkness and his loyal hound of a follower.

2. Other men and women may also fall for the Black Knight.

3. The top has both a human form and a monstrous form. The latter will make you lose your mind.

4. The Black Knight has worn a knight's helmet for years. He's a handsome guy who doesn't like taking his helmet off, and he's a good person.

5. The western fantasy wasteland concept comes from the game Dark Souls III. The plot is original, and the story was inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos.
