Tang He had always known she was just an ordinary person. At best, she was pretty in an unremarkable way, with no particular strengths. And yet Zhou Jin, a notorious playboy, claimed he had fallen for her at first sight and launched an intense pursuit.
Who was Zhou Jin? A pampered young heir from a powerful family, handsome and surrounded by countless beautiful women. He was known as a playboy who could pass through a field of flowers without a single petal sticking to him.
Tang He considered her greatest strength to be her clear-eyed self-awareness, so she naturally didn't believe his claim of love at first sight. She assumed he'd lost a game of Truth or Dare with his friends and was messing with her for fun.
So when he confessed, Tang He turned him down on the spot.
But he didn't give up. He harassed her with messages every day, switching to a new number whenever she blocked one. He acted like a mad dog, flying into a rage whenever he saw her with another man. He made every man around her steer clear, afraid of being attacked indiscriminately, and she somehow made it through all four years of college without a single relationship.
They kept up their game of pursuit and escape until they graduated, and she still couldn't get rid of him.
Tang He was fed up. She thought, Fine, then. She might as well accept.
She assumed that if she agreed to Zhou Jin's advances, the womanizer would soon lose interest, given his usual behavior.
But one year passed, then two... The seven-year itch came and went. Then she died in a car accident. As her soul floated in the air, she saw the man, who had always been proud, carefree, and debonair, go mad at her funeral like a dog abandoned by its owner.
On the night of the seventh day after her death, he killed himself.
She watched his blood fill the bathtub, the whole scene awash in crimson.
When Tang He opened her eyes, she discovered she had been reborn in her college days, on the day after his confession.
Damn it! Whatever. To stop that idiot from going crazy again, she might as well say yes this time.
