I Revitalize the Immortal Sect by Collecting Junk

Has the central premise gone off the rails? It's so broken even the author's own mother wouldn't recognize it. To spare your eyes, please don't come in!!!

The author didn't do either of the things promised by the title, collecting junk or revitalizing the immortal sect. The author tried to save things by revising ten thousand words a day, but the characters took off running and I couldn't catch them. Amen!!!
