The Runaway Fake Heiress in Hong Kong [The 1980s]

After waking up, He Qian found herself in Hong Kong as a fake heiress who had run away from her arranged marriage.

In a month, her identity would be exposed and she'd be sent back to the mainland to her biological parents, then married off to a widower approaching fifty.

And the man she was supposed to marry now was a lucky bamboo plant, more commonly known as a human vegetable.

He Qian: ...

For wealth and glory, she could bring herself to accept it.

On their wedding night, she told her lucky bamboo husband, "Don't worry. I won't betray you while you're alive. Once you're dead, I'll take your money and find another man."

The next day, her newlywed husband, whom the doctors had declared would never wake up, opened his eyes.

He Qian: Yikes

Someone: Don't ask. If you do, it's a medical miracle) just kidding
