Yan Jin opened her eyes to find that she had transmigrated into an entertainment-industry novel as a cannon-fodder supporting female character. She was currently taking part in a deserted-island survival variety show alongside the male and female leads.
In the original novel, the leads' love for each other was unshakable, and they won countless fans on the show. Meanwhile, the original Yan Jin had every move scrutinized and criticized: selfish, pretending to eat, a scheming green tea, and a spoiled princess. After being eliminated in disgrace halfway through, she became a complete has-been. From then on, she might as well have vanished from the entertainment industry. Her name only came up in marketing accounts' lists of "Ten Celebrities Who Completely Squandered a Great Hand," where she served as a miserable contrast to the original female lead.
Yan Jin: Huh? What kind of character setting is this? And people pretend to eat?
To the other guests, the deserted island was barren. To Yan Jin, who had come from an apocalypse wrought by a biological disaster, it was practically paradise on earth.
Haters: Yan Jin is a spoiled princess. She can't lift a finger or carry a thing!
Yan Jin: I'll build a cozy little shelter that's warm in winter, cool in summer, and keeps out wind and mosquitoes. Water purifier and fishing net, coming right up!
Haters: Yan Jin pretends to eat! What a waste of food!
Yan Jin: Grilled lobster and sea urchin sashimi in my left hand, roasted plantains, salted duck eggs, and skewers with fish soup in my right. What, food doesn't keep well? Come on, I'll store it all in my stomach!
Haters: Yan Jin has no friends in the industry. If Qiao Qiao hadn't let her tag along, she wouldn't have a single friend!
Yan Jin: I picked up two or three fans without even trying: a top-tier star, a famous mukbang streamer... and a CEO? How did you get in here?
Advertisers started flooding in, all hoping Yan Jin would promote their products. The haters, who had filled the screen, found a new way to complain: "Yan Jin's exact products sold out and disappeared from the shelves in three seconds. One star!"
Her teammates, who had avoided her at first, swallowed hard. "Is it too late to cling to her now?"
Theme: Stay positive and look forward, in both good times and bad.
