Qin Nanzi was sent to live at her grandmother's in the countryside when she was little. Every day, she ran wild over the hills and fields, just like a tomboy, as her name seemed to suggest. When she was six, a family moved in next door. Their daughter wore a red dress and looked like a doll.
Qin Nanzi didn't think much of her, though. The persimmon tree in her yard was so big that it grew over the low wall and into the "girl in the red dress's" yard.
One day, she sat on the tree, bored, watching a fishing boat approach from far away, sailing slowly across the azure sea toward the harbor.
The "girl in the red dress" stood on the deck, holding a bouquet of Yashen flowers. She looked up and met Qin Nanzi's eyes.
