Lost in Love After Marriage

A month into their marriage, Chen Jiayu still hasn't met her husband, who lives overseas.

They meet again at a family dinner.

"Sorry, my flight was delayed. If this happens again, go ahead and eat. Don't wait for me." Zhou Zepu arrives late, takes off his long coat, and casually hands it to his secretary.

The family, who had been sitting quietly, all stand up at once.

Chen Jiayu's father looks especially embarrassed. "Mr. Zhou, I'm sorry we haven't been better hosts. The food is so simple..."

How could they not be embarrassed? They were just ordinary people who ran a small business, and now he had become the father-in-law of the famous "Shipping King," Zhou Zepu. They wouldn't even dare dream of something like this.

On the way back, Chen Jiayu is so flustered that she keeps kicking the little stones underfoot.

"What's wrong? Not happy?" Zhou Zepu smiles and turns his head slightly. The streetlights fall across his stern face, lending it a rare softness.

Chen Jiayu's cheeks turn pink. After hesitating for a moment, she says, "Could we eat out next time? My family gets so awkward whenever you come over."

Zhou Zepu smiles leisurely. "Sure. So how are you going to reward me tonight?"

Chen Jiayu lowers her head even further, her cheeks now as red as little tomatoes.
