As a preliminary move ahead of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Britain, Chinese cultivators, long independent of the supernatural world, were the first to sign an agreement with Hogwarts. The two sides would exchange students.
At the same time, Wen Tingzhan, one of China's top fighters, awoke from a coma after receiving a curse during a battle with Japan. His injuries were incurable, forcing him to end the military career he had always cherished ahead of schedule and turn to the peaceful, pleasant life of a school campus.

The male lead is still Wen Tingzhan. He has the memories of his first three lives and can only remain in this world. (The details will be explained in the first few chapters.)
The male lead is one of China's top fighters, so he really is very strong. (After all, he is a proper cultivator.) He knows some of the original story, though he basically doesn't remember the plot, only that a lot of people died.
This is an ensemble story centered on the male lead. (There would be more than one exchange student, after all.) Since it is set in the Marauders era and involves relations between the two countries as well as various new background details, the plot definitely won't follow the original.
The pairing is Snape, or perhaps there will be no pairing, since the male lead is genuinely slow to catch on to romantic feelings. The other pairings will stay true to the original. I'm also adding GGAD at my best friend's request. Whether the next generation will be involved depends on how the story develops. (The author has no idea how long this will be.)
I should start posting soon. I have no chapters saved up and no outline, so the update pace will depend on how many people read it and how much free time I have.
