A stunning, innocent photographer x a wild, untamable CEO | Older man | Road trip first, city life later
In her two years as a photographer, Feng Xiao once encountered a "deity" in Yunnan.
He was a local fisherman, wildness radiating from him as if he were one with the mountains and waters. His peach-blossom eyes were pure and clear, like the glimmering snow at the very peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Having spent so long in the city, Feng Xiao was struck by his beauty. Her heart fluttered, and she wanted to flirt with him. When she saw him rowing gently out to sea alone, she tried to follow, but his presence intimidated her and sent her backing off.
Then, one night, on the shores of Erhai Lake lit by fishing fires, the two of them fell asleep on a boat, gazing together at the stars scattered across the water.
"Don't kick me off the boat again." At last, emboldened by the wine she'd drunk, Feng Xiao leaned in and whispered a secret into his ear. "Do you know how beautiful your eyes are? They make me want to kiss you."
The man finally reacted. His expression softened as he kissed her eyes first. His Adam's apple bobbed, and his voice came out hoarse. "My fishing boat isn't too big or too small. It's just right for two."
Beneath the fishing lights and starry sky, they embraced and kissed, unable to restrain themselves. Only then did Feng Xiao realize he wasn't a "deity," but a "seductive spirit."
And she was a naive "scholar," not only falling deeply in love but willingly offering him gold and silver just to make him happy.
Fortunately, the next morning she came to her senses as if waking from a dream, fled in a panic, and left without saying goodbye.

Back at the newspaper office, Feng Xiao told her colleagues about the extraordinary encounter more than once, and lamented how it had ended.
Not long afterward, the chairman's rebellious, free-spirited only son, long rumored to be off traveling, finally agreed to return and take over the business.
His first move as the new CEO was to make life miserable for Feng Xiao.
Alone together in the CEO's office, Jiang Huaiye looked haughty and refined in his immaculate suit, every inch the pampered rich kid who couldn't bear the slightest hardship. Yet whenever Feng Xiao met his eyes, she couldn't help feeling guilty and flustered.
"What are you looking at?" He shot her a cold glance, his voice low.
"Nothing. You just look a little familiar..." Feng Xiao wiped away her sweat.
"Feng Xiao." At last, the man ran out of patience. He raised an arm and grabbed her wrist tightly, demanding in a hoarse voice, "You slept with me, threw money at me, and ran. What exactly do you take me for?"
She had just noticed the faint bite mark on the exposed part of his right arm. It was the reckless thing she'd done that night when she had lost control.
