The Reborn Playboy Marries His Little Maid

An ancient-era ABO setting: Qianyuan (alpha), Zhongchang (beta), and Kunze (omega). Many details are the author’s own invention.

The Wen family of Yuzhou Prefecture is fabulously wealthy. Three generations of accumulated riches are enough to buy the entire prefecture. The current young head of the family is Wen Shangxian, a good-for-nothing wastrel with a terrible reputation: a notorious womanizer who loves flirting and getting into trouble.

No one would have expected the prefect of Yuzhou to form a marriage alliance with the Wen family, marrying his daughter off to the wastrel everyone in the prefecture knows.

But even more unexpected is that Wen Shangxian, the notorious wastrel and young head of the Wen family, stubbornly refuses to go through with the marriage to the prefect’s family. Instead, she insists on marrying a maid from her own household. The prefect is humiliated and cancels the engagement in a rage. To soothe his anger, Wen Shangxian’s father has fine gifts laid out all along the main street and hands over more than a dozen prime shops.

Rumors fly everywhere. Some say the maid is a vixen who bewitched the young master into offending the prefect. Others say Wen Shangxian has grown too arrogant and dared to slight the prefect.

Lingyue, formerly a laundry maid and now Wen Shangxian’s concubine, knows nothing of the gossip. She was a maid responsible for washing clothes at the Wen residence. After an unexpected night together with Wen Shangxian, the young master took her in as a concubine. The young master is pampered, difficult, and needs someone to attend to her every need. She loves ordering Lingyue around and teasing her.

Then one day, the young master suddenly changes her ways, treating Lingyue with the utmost care and tenderness, even asking to marry her as her wife!

Lingyue is terrified. She thinks it’s just another trick the young master has come up with to torment her, so she can only endure it anxiously, not daring to entertain any improper thoughts.

The year Wen Shangxian turned twelve and differentiated as a Qianyuan, she suddenly gained the ability to foresee the future. In the visions, her usually gentle stepmother becomes hypocritical and vicious, while her obedient, docile stepsister bares her cruel fangs. Her stepmother drives a wedge between her and her father, and later she is cruelly harmed by her stepmother and stepsister and dies. Each little incident, one after another, eventually becomes the final straw that breaks her.

Shocked, furious, and unwilling to accept this fate, she bides her time, secretly builds up her strength, and slowly plots her revenge.

Later, she unexpectedly spends a night with a young maid. At first, she assumes the girl has an ulterior motive and deliberately schemed her way into her bed. She doesn’t mind playing along, teasing her a little and waiting for the day she can catch the fox by the tail. She never expects to lose her heart along the way. She thought she had a cunning little fox, but it turns out to be an innocent, easily bullied little white rabbit. And most unexpected of all, one day her rabbit runs away!

Only then does she finally understand that there was never any such thing as foresight...
