Yi Nian transmigrates back to Xianggang twenty years in the past, where she meets Lin Chu, a popular singer. The two go from misunderstanding each other to becoming acquainted, and then falling in love. But Yi Nian will eventually have to return to her own time, so she doesn't dare make too many promises. Lin Chu, however, doesn't back down. When reporters discover Yi Nian, he bravely admits his feelings to them and does everything he can to protect her. In the end, Yi Nian still returns to 2017. Before she leaves, Lin Chu says as always that he will wait for her, while Yi Nian waits until the very last second to say, "I love you."
In 2017, Yi Nian frantically searches for news about Lin Chu, only to discover that he had retired from the spotlight fifteen years ago and no longer appeared in public. She returns to Xianggang. The hotel from back then is still there, and she visits every place they once went together. Then one day, she sees information about Lin Chu's "20 Years of Loving You" concert and remembers what he told her after learning her secret: even if she went back, he would wait for her, and hold a concert on Christmas twenty years later for her to come to.
