Twenty Years in the Imperial Palace

Before Fan Yin began serving Consort Lin, she had spent ten years as a servant in the Palace of Blessings. The vast winter snows there buried the name she had once had.

Later, Fan Yin was chosen by Consort Lin and presented to the emperor.

Everyone said she was lucky. In a harem full of beautiful women, she was thoroughly unremarkable, yet overnight she had risen to the top.

They envied her, resented her, and even hated her.

They would never know that her dream of leaving the palace had also died that night.

Reader's Guide:

1. A palace-intrigue ensemble story, following the ups and downs of many people from the heroine's perspective. The heroine herself mostly lies flat; she neither harms others nor loves anyone.

2. The emperor is not the heroine's destined partner. Her love interest appears very, very late in the story.

3. Also known as The Little Palace Maid Lies Flat and Coasts Her Way to High Rank.

4. A tragic tone.

Theme: Love yourself at all times.
